Charging high points for less valued products. Review on Imintpoints

I ordered some products last week thru i-mint.

So.here is my experience:

First of all I was unable to put the order from imint website because of some technical problems of the website, so I sent a email with all details of products I wanted to redeem and mentioned that consider this email as my request .

After 6 days they replied that they cant take order from emails due to some security reasons and advised me to order through a phone call.( I think email is more secure and they can have written proof of order if someone deny). anyway its there call.

So, finally through a phone call I ordered all products. the customer care person was quite polite and friendly. while placing order I confirmed twice that whether I need to pay any delivery charges, service charges or octroi? the customer care person assured me that you need not to pay even a single penny and will get the products with in 10 days.

After 7 Days:

I got my products. I was quite happy with the quick service. but the courier boy asked me to pay octroi on electronics items. After arguing I had to pay Rs.150 as octroi to the courier boy. I dont think i-mint or blue dart will refund me that money.

anyway I got products. After watching the quality of those products I realised i-mint are taking much more points as compared to the value of products. but customers dont have choice if someone has reward points, he has to redeem.

Atlast it is good experience to get something for FREE. Hope you all get good products. All the best and Happy i-minting.

I ordered:

1. TRANSCEND 8 GB PENDRIVE(code:el2050) Qty:1= 4350 points

   
   




2. AA battery charger(code:el1090) Qty:1= 2700 points

   
   




3. mens windcheater(code:mn0004) Qty:1= 1550 points

   
   

I got the bills of all these products and the following price are mentioned on these bills:

1. TRANSCEND 8 GB PENDRIVE= Rs.2500(I checked on rediff shopping, it comes for 1300+ 35)

   
   




2. AA battery charger= Rs. 995(It takes 22 hours to charge 2300mAh batteries. I dont know the market price of this)

   
   




3. mens windcheater= Rs. 775(In Pantaloon, Pune a much better windcheater with Trousers comes for Rs. 550)

   
   

Blue dart courier charged me octroi for pendrive(Rs 98) and Mens windcheater(Rs 44). When I called I-mint regarding this they asked me that why I paid the amount? now they can't do anything even if I have the receipts for Octroi paid. Its very bad experience that they were helpless at that point.

I suggest if courier boy ask for any charges, first confirm with i-mint customer care then take any money out of your pocket.
