Subject: image hospitals Just came back from Image Hospitals at Madhapur. My friend (Ganesh) died today - Thanks to the carelessness and the callousness of the hospital staff.
Most of you are in Corporate world, in Madhapur - We have no choice but to go to Image hospital for any emergency. After I saw, live, what happened today, I would strongly urge you guys to go to any other hospital than Image hospital if you want to live.
As agreed by the doctor, in his police statement, the hospital lack basic emergency equipment. Things like ECG machine do not work. Duty doctor prescribes medicines based on guess work. So much for 24X7 emergency hospital with super speciality facility.
Read on..
Mr.Ganesh, working with Genpact, is my friend for many years. He has two daughters, youngest one in not even one year old. He, like always, was going to office and complained about pain in the chest and was promptly brought to Image hospitals at Madhapur at 18:45 hrs on 20-May-2013. The duty doctor, probably a fresh medical grad, checked on him and advised ECG to be taken.
There were 10 ECGs taken between then and 20:30 hrs. All of them showed indications of heart attack. The duty doctor did not read the symptoms nor the reports. She consulted her colleagues / manager in Ameerpet and they forwarded the call to some other doctor.
While this was going on, he was asked to pay his bills and duty doctor told him that he is discharged and can go home.
Ganesh's colleagues went to reception area to settle the bill, while Ganesh was seated on a stool. All of a sudden, he fell down from the stool and collapsed.
Doctor saw his pulse and declared him dead. No effort - such as heart pumping or any other means to save him - were not done.
Senior doctor came into picture about 3 hrs later and was spotted saying "I told duty doctor that we shouldn't take this case.." Most probably Ganesh would have been saved if he was diagnosed properly.
I can imagine this happening in remote part of the state, where there is little or no access to Medical facility. But for this to happen in the "Hitec" part of the city and that too in a multi-speciality hospital, which boasts of corporate clients and huge income from insurance companies is a shame.
All we can do now is Pray for Ganesh's soul, post this on your FB Wall, request government to cancel the super speciality licence and 24 x7 emergency service licence, and request our rRajeev_Vermactive corporates to shift their associates to any other hospital rather than Image - as the Image hospital is in shambles and is not a place where I would go for treatment. ___________________________________________________________
