I am a medical student pursuing MBBS and also a part time mobile phone enthusiast. Today I am going to warn about you about the health effects of mobile phone on your body.

Mobile phones, as we all know have become an integral part of our daily lives. But they come with INDIRECT potential health benefits such as;

Sitting in awkward positions while using phone over a long period of time can cause disc bulges in your vertebral column.

Eyes get tired and also the laziness factor comes into picture. One can get obesity due to lack of activity which can lead to diabetes, hypertension, etc. in future.

Our mind produces an hormone which is called MELATONIN. It is also know as SLEEP INDUCING Hormone. The phone's display emits blue light which inactivates the release of this hormones. So, do not use your phone during bed time as it may result in delayed sleeping by 1-2 hours. Which may eventually lead to a sleeping disorder called INSOMNIA.

Using phones can cause a lapse of attention which lead to road traffic accidents.

SO, TO PREVENT THESE THINGS.one must:

TAKE GAPS OF 5 MINUTES EVERY HOUR WHILE USING THE PHONE

INSTALL APPS WHICH NOTIFY YOU ABOUT TAKING BREAKS

DRINK WATER AT REGULAR INTERVALS

TRY TO TAKE OUT ATLEAST 3 NO PHONE DAYS IN YOUR MONTH. You will definitely notice the amount of stress is lessened in these 3 days.

DO NOT GET ADDICTED TO USELESS GAMES, AND DO NOT INSTALL UNNECESSARY APPS IN YOUR PHONE WHICH MAY LEAD TO YOURSELF SPENDING MORE TIME ON THE PHONE

So, these were my few tips upon phone harms. Thanks for reading. Cheers! May you lead a healthy life!
