Lucky Ali is back, almost !
After a fairly long gap of 5 years, Ali is out with his new pop album Ikoi (Xsuie). Yeah odd name, , unheard. After some online search, I was able to find out its meaning. It means moving ahead in one direction, with certaininy in your steps, when you know where are you heading towards, and doing it at one's own pace and comfort.
So the name looks intriguing, and all fans of lucky bhai should expect some nice chords stringing again after a long gap of 5 years. His last solo release was 'Kabhi Aisa Lagta Hai'.
For Iksoi, the promotion has been minimum, and not many people are aware that it is out for sale. The reason for it is that for now, only one one solo 'Dil Gaaye Ja' from the album has been released, and that too is a paid download on certain music sites. Its lyrics goes like this :
Mere kareeb kaun aaya,
Nigaaho mein vo chhaya,
Hai uska mujh par saaya
Tere siva kaun?
Dil gaaye jaa, gaaye jaa, gaaye jaa SSS
The song is a kind of slow romantic ballad, although I dont think this is the best one from the album. Two more songs including title song Iksoi is expected to be released within this week. This way of releasing an album in installments sounds strange and unheard of, but thats how it going for now. The songs will be available as paid download at nimbitmusic dot com.
Other information that I have is about the track list of the album. It has 9 songs in total, which goes as follows :
1) Ik soi.
2) O Raahi.
3) Sayyaah.
4) Rehne De.
5) Salaam.
6) Dil Gaaye jaa.
7) Duniya ke Samundar Mae.
8 ) Banjaara.
9) Na, Naa, Na na naa..
Apart from it, the complete album is yet to be released and lets hope it is done soon so that all fans of lucky's music can get another melodious album like sunoh, sifar and aks. Rumors are that two videos for the album have already been shot in Brazil and they should be out somewhere in October.
