#500. Review on Ikon Vodka

I decided to try a new Vodka, Ikon Vodka. I bought it for $14.00 CAD.

.:The History:.

Vassil Vasslivitch Alexandrov, who live in Russia, was awarded the imperial licence, by the Tsar, to make vodka.

His company began making Vodka in 1862 and is sold is store around the World.

.:The Bottle:.

The bottle is clear glass, with a gold label that has Ikon, (there is a '.' in the middle of the 'o' but I can't show it here).

.:The Vodka:.

This vodka is made with clear artesian water, grain and is distilled four times then filtered through Russian Birch Wood, another four times.

When the process is finished you have a vodka that is an 80 proof alcohol.

When you smell it, (the nose), you can't detect a scent. Theres is no alcohol ester.

When you take your first sip, it is very mild, with a hit of toffee and mineral.

I would say it is very smooth.

Ikon Vodka has received seven gold medals, at International Exhibitions in Barcelona, London, Paris and San Francisco.

.:How To Make Vodka In Your Dishwasher:.

Chocolate Caramel Vodka:

You'll Need:

I bottle vodka

3 bars Cadbury caramel

Method:

Pour off about a sixth of the vodka.

Break the chocolate into squares and shove it into the neck of the bottle.

Screw the lid on the bottle very tight.

Stick the bottle in the dishwasher next time you run a dishwasher cycle.

Variation:

Instead of the chocolate bars you can use 1 cup of jelly beans. Make sure they are all one colour, or your vodka will look like mud.
