Story:

Dated somewhere in 2004, I got my hands on this masterpiece from Sheldon and beacame a fan of his work. The story is of protagonist Tracy Whitney who is from a middle class family and is engaged to a rich Charles. The plot opens with Tracy's mother committing suicide. In an attempt to revenge the man because of whom her mom dies, she lands in jail on false charges.

In jail she faces atrocities which leads to her miscarriage. Emotionally scarred and physically abused, Tracy determines to revenge who spoiled her life. She literally rises from her own ashes like a phoenix to become a strong, powerful and admired lady in the jail. She meditates, practices on fight moves and gains her lost confidence. Eventually when she is released from jail, Charles calls off the engagement, she gets no job anywhere and is a broke. The very first fraud of her life was to get her Provident Fund money from the bank where she worked. Then begins the phase of her life where she is forced to turn into a con. From precious gems to costly paintings, she steals anything and everything and is a worldwide renowned con. She speaks many languages, can disguise as anyone and slips from cops easily.

The story sees more characters join in at a later stage. A very interesting read which can give you goosebumps. Bunty & Bubbly are on the likes of this novel. Every page has the power to hook you!
