Here’s this rockstar of a lady who is perfectly attractive, intelligent and whose life is a big never ending roman holiday! And then…ending up with someone as exciting and good looking and chivalrous as…ahem…Jeff Stevens! I mean, what else should anybody ever need?

Many a times have I wanted to lead the life of Tracy Whitney! Yeah, no elucidation required, well I am talking about one of my favourite novelist’s ultimate penworks…IF TOMORROW COMES!

It sure takes a little more than talent to make a bestseller out of every one of his written novels…no matter how much a handful of skeptics have to call his books not classy enough! It does take that ‘little more’ to be ruled out as an author youth icon…he sure is a cult, and nobody can change that!

The point is the kind of magic Sheldon spells every time he creates a story…where the characters become so real…so gripping…so lovable…or so eerie! Yeah I know I just sounded like the storyteller himself…but I guess that’s what happens when you have read every single one of his manuscripts repeatedly!

Getting down with business, IF TOMORROW COMES starts on a peaceful note, rather picture perfect. Tracy works for a bank where she is respected, is engaged to the man she adores and is even expecting his baby. And just when we try digesting the perfection…things suddenly go haywire! She gets involved in an attempt to murder of an underworld ‘lieutenant’ and stealing a Renoir painting worth millions…the latter wasn’t even dreamt of by her! All she gets from her fiancé and friends is a cold shoulder...and it all started with her planning revenge against her mother’s murder.

The Gods seem to have turned against her…and she even loses the baby in her womb eventually! Yeah…another extreme now!

Well that was just the backdrop…the real excitement begins now…her experiences in the jail, how it strengthens her…how she escapes and takes the due revenges and then how she actually turns into a mastermind con artist and thief! Plus her escapades, master plans and trysts with Mr. Jeff Stevens! Beautifully handled relationships and the thefts dealt so crisply with details…that’s our Sidney!

The baap of EK HASINA THI (kind of) and BUNTY AUR BUBBLY (sort of), he isn’t one of my A grade favourites for nothing! Read it to believe it! I am sure you must have!
