After The initial boredom and disappointment of having spending valentines alone at home , and after the initial few hrs of mushy songs n mush movies ' Grease' ' when Harry Met sally ' andthe likes ...the love thing got to me and I was really hoping to do sumthing which was far flung from it. So I decided I wld get down to a book I had jus inheirited from a neighbour Sheldon's '' If tomowrrow Comes' and man I think it is the most worthwhile decision I made in a long time. The book is so absorbing and gripping that I sat up till the wee hours of the morning reading n totally lifted my spirits.
The story Begins with picture perfect Tracy Whitney who seems like she has nuthing more to ask for. her job at the bank is satisfying , she is enagaed to be married to a amazing man and she is going to have his baby when disaster strikes in the form of the death of her Mother. Investigations reveal it was a case of suicide and how her mom was led into a trap by a couple of new orleans mafia group. Tracy in the initial fury of revenge is also led into a a very cunning trap by not jus one man but 4 men and sentenced to 15 years of life inprisonment along with a loss of Freedom , she also loses her reputation and respect along with the man she loved and the final blow is dealt in the form of loss of her un born baby. Avenging her mom's death, tracy wants to get back at her mom's killers. Fate finally plays a game and tracy is free but the world refuses to pardon her and let her lead a normal life . Does tracy give up ?what does she finally do?forms the backbone of the story.
The story is so well written that you often stop to wonder if things can get better tan this plot. but the plot as it thickens get better and better and by the time u have reached the ultimate you wish there was more.Tracy whitney comes across as a woman of exceptional corage and immense and intense intelligence and the way she plans her every luttle move is articulate. on the whole the book is a total reader's paradise . Catch it as soon as you can.
