This is regarding the unethical means used by Idea Cellule for selling 3G connections. I had been using Idea GSM connection from some time, Recently I got a SMS from Idea saying my verification had gone wrong and I need to resubmit my papers, else my number will be blocked etc.
The tone of SMS was quit threatening and as a normal consumer I prefer to fall in line and went to submit my papers to the shop ( kirana store ) from where I took the connection and recharge regularly , but to my surprise , Idea insist that papers can only be submitted in Idea shop ?
In Idea Shop I was greeted by guys who are selling 3G connection, it seem to me that submitting papers for re-verification was so secondary for the staff, This was all just a excuse to pull people into a captive audience , so that they can sell 3G connections.
Honestly speaking this is a company doing advertising on expanse of consumer , I spent 4 Rs in photocopy , say 5 rs in photo , 15-20 Rs in petrol and 30 min from my life, also not to forget a tree was cut to create the paper, and run the photocopy machine. ( if this is the cost paid by one consume , multiply this by millions to get the real cost paid by all of us )
All this cost was paid not by “Idea cellular “ but the consumer and mother nature , and Idea cellule got a captive audience free of cost ?
Keeping a mobile connection hostage for doing their own advertising is criminal in nature, I think Idea cellular should be punished for this method.
