Be very careful with unscrupulous business!
They will automatically subscribe you to services and deduct charges from your account without your permission. They subscribed me to some ringtones and some other stuff without asking me.
Said to sms some number to deactivate it and when Airtel did it to me I did nothing as I was not even using that phone and found they drained the account so I deactivated 1 of the services for idea. But for the other one they want me to send to this 6 digit number and very long sms message about unsubscribing and a long string.
Any error and it wont accept it and you have to resend the sms. With a keyboard its not hard but with a phone you cant use number and underscores and such in an sms easily. And they keep subscribing you to stuff you don't even know about or want.
Idea has started doing this now same as same thing now as airtel who started this scam a few months ago.! But at least they gave me a few minutes before they charged me.
Too late to do anything since by the time you read their message they have already done it. Airtel did not even tell me about it until a month later and had drained most of the account.
Too bad consumer service in India is not good or you could take them to court like in the US.
There are lawyers who will do this just because they can charge companies for doing stuff like this to screw over consumers and make money from them so companies wont do it since what they make will be far lower than what the lawyers fees end up being.
