Fame lido Mall is yet another feather in the cap in Bangalore. This complex is situated in the erstwhile Lido theater close to MG Road. My visit to the mall kept on postponing owing to connectivity. Last weekend went to Fame to watch Speed Racer with my son. I was initially apprehensive about the location but what welcomed me is a totally new experience. It lacked the usual buzz and traffic pile-up at the parking lot entry which is common in other malls of Bangalore city. The entry gate is huge and the security personnel is very warm. I got a bow first time in my life in the mall. I acknowledged the same with a smile.
Absence of boards and directions confused me a bit initially as the complex house 3 separate buildings. Though I was slightly annoyed with the technical snag regarding my booking over telephone, eventually I settled for a Silver Class ticket. I had no option anyways.
I went to the food court situated on the first floor and surprisingly the crowd was thin. The array of restaurants is not very extravagant but you can have a good lunch with little mix and match options.
The screens itself is worth commending. The seats are very comfortable and the hall is moderate in size. One does not feel suffocated with too many people in the hall.
I did not have a chance to visit their retail outlets. This Saturday planning to do that after having watched Indiana Jones :)
I started to believe that I would shift my patron ship to this Cinema complex as against to Inox or PVR which is filled with window-shoppers and college-kids.
Way to Go, Fame Bangalore :)
