The multiplex looked posh from outside. I had been to Garuda Mall for shopping and noticed this multiplex. Since it looked great from outside I booked two tickets through SMS for the next week. Alas, all that glitters is not gold.
I got the confirmation id through SMS. I noted down the number and deleted the SMS as I get lot of SMS everyday and don't have enough memory to save all of them. I went to the multiplex on the fateful day to collect my ticket. They demanded to show the SMS on the phone. I told them that I have already deleted it and if they want they can check my phone number by giving me a "missed call". But no. My plea fell on deaf ears and they insisted on seeing that "Deleted" SMS!
Luckily my brain gave me a wonderful idea. I asked my friend to send me an SMS with the exact message that I had received originally. Then I saved my friends name on my mobile phonebook as "INOX". The SMS received from my friend appeared as if it arrived from INOX because I stored my friend's name as "INOX". I showed that message in the counter and told them that I was able to retrieve that "deleted" message. Those foolish people believed me and gave me my tickets. I thought that now I can enjoy the movie.
When I went inside the hall I found it like a dungeon. They started allowing people 10 minutes later than show timing. No proper lightning inside. People were struggling to find their seats. When the movie started, I was shocked to hear the awful sound. It was so low in volume and worse than my home theatre. The screen was also small and thus the entire movie experience was considerably worse than a normal theatre like Urvashi. I realized how better Urvashi theatre is compared to this multiplex. I will never again go to INOX.
