Ikigai is the reason why you get out of bed in the morning its how you derive meaning from your life the book explains how we can all implement Ikigai by balancing profession, passion, mission and vacation the book gives simple examples from residents in Japan namely Okinawa that were able to use Ikigai as the framework for their own lives the simplicity of the way that this book is written makes it easy for new readers to try and understand what Ikigai is and also references other philosophical schools of thought such as logotherapy proposed by Viktor Frankl someone who did not know what a key guy was before reading this book I found this book to be a great introduction inti the topic and if you are interested in the same way that I was then I definitely recommend that you get this book.
