I am sure most of you have read lots about IIPM. My aim is to reach out to those students and their parents, who want to join a B School .
I was shocked to see IIPM get such high scores on mouthshut and also on some of the B School ranking reports. There is no way they could have suddenly improved soo much overnight!! So please conduct your own independent research on the institute, before even applying for IIPM please visit the campus, meet the faculty, find out the total number of permanent faculty members, the facilities, the actual campus placement numbers and the companies who have visited the campus - meet students on campus and find out details, personally meet alumni of the institute.
Please do not go by the reviews posted by alumni on any blog or website, as they have a vested interest to project that IIPM as something very good, as lot of companies also use the net for research (and this has a direct impact on the marketability of these students). But the alumni member on a one on one basis will be more frank about the institute.
I am sure IIPM has improved a lot from the days when it actually did not even have a campus in most of the cities that it was present, had a non existent placement program and almost no permanent faculty. And may have actually improved and earned the things that appear in the different surveys.
What I object to is the misinformation spread by the institute, who might have not legally misrepresented, but has misled many students on various fronts in the past and maybe even now - misleading pictures of the campus, placement, faculty members and even trying to compare IIPM to the IIMs. So take everything with a handful of salt about any claims made by IIPM and conduct your own independent research on it.
