I bought an IFB  Senorita DX washing machine on 1st June 2008 in Mumbai and looks like I have been taken for a ride  by their Authorized service agents  (Antek Services )  . I have no issues with the washing machine per se ( at least , not yet !! ) but IFB's After sales service leaves a lot to be desired


The machine was installed on 4th June and since we were looking for a trolley to mount the machine on , I enquired about the same from the engineer who had come to install the machine . He informed me that they do have trolleys for the machine and it would cost me 1055 Rs to buy one . I gave him the money for the same , for which he provided me the appropriate receipt and left with the promise that the trolley would be delivered in the next couple of days .


It's been almost 40 days since he accepted the payment from me and despite repeated calls to both the IFB call center as well as to the Antek service office , no one has bothered to come to deliver the trolley till now . Every time I call , I'm told that someone will "surely " come the next day , but I guess for IFB , "Tomorrow Never Comes "


The IFB customer care representatives have given me 2 different numbers of people I can call to escalate the issue . One was a Mr Anil (who is supposedly the manager at Antek Services ) whose phone is always switched off . The other was a Mr Rajesh Vaidya (supposedly  the IFB Area Sales executive ) who never picks up his phone . I really dont understand the point of providing customers with escalation numbers which are either switched off or dont receive calls .


If this is the trouble one has to go through to get someone to come and fix a trolley one has already paid for , I shudder to think what the response will be if I have a problem with the washing machine itself .  The point IFB has to consider is that when they have such incompetent Authorised Service Agencies associated with them , it's IFBs brand image which gets spoilt and nothing else .


I don't think I will ever recommend anyone to buy an IFB washing machine even though I have no complaints against the machine itself .
