After being fed up of their pathetic after sales service, I decided to write a review here and lo! I'm not alone. I should have read the reviews here before buying an IFB machine.
We had a videocon fully automatic washing machine which worked fine for over 5 years. After it started giving problems, we decided to go for an IFB front loading one as many told me it will save lot of water and clothes come out clean, and their ads looked as though they are the no.1 front-loading washing machines here.
First day, we were shocked to see the sound and vibration of the machine. It looked as though the machine will fall apart any moment. Slowly we got used to the sound and vibration. Within 6 months, the machine developed a problem and the service took over 3 days to rectify it.
Now after 3 years, we experienced problem 2 times. On both the occasions, the service guy came after 48 hrs(that too after making a reminder call). On second occasion, the guy didn't come even after 3 days. When I called the call center, they told they are sorry and a senior rep will call me. No call came. Only after making direct calls to the service guy, he came.
I don't know about other washing machines but NEVER BUY AN IFB WASHING MACHINE.
Update: Lodged another complaint (5574746) through their call center on 17th Dec and as of today(23rd), no technician attended my place. When I called their call center I got their stereo type reply - "We are extremely sorry" and they gave me the local service manager's number and asked me to contact him! Which in other words means - You please sort the issue yourself. So basically the job of the call center is to issue complaint numbers!
