After buying the IFB Senator, I am Now convinced that IFB is the best brand when it comes to washing machines and other home appliances.
I previously had an IFB Executive Model which I used for almost 12 years without having to call up the service centre.
But well, as it was having less capacity, it was to be changed and no doubt I got a IFB to look at. The 6 KG senator. The most striking feature was 1100 rpm speed, which would be very useful during the monsoon for drying. No other machine in the market at that time had this spinning speed.
Above all, there were the Eco wash option and Soak option for cleaning clothes effectively and economically.
Looks are contemporary IFB., unlike LG or samsung who give vibrant colors on their machine, instead of looking onto the inside.
The major competitors I looked at were LG--the most quietest machine as its a direct drive, but costlier than IFB and no spinning speeds and restricted option.
Samsung had their code branded SIlver Nano and Diamond drum, but at the price of 3000 more bucks.
And the Senator was 6 kg , those were 5.5.
So finally bought the IFB after 4 days, arrived at my house the same day and the personnel removed the old IFB and installed a new one.
Like its iconic predessor, the senator is living upto its name and perfroming quite a handsome job of cleaning clothes, be it my night gowns, or my football shorts soiled in mud or wiping off Holi colors and pickle stains.
i use the soak option to save on elexctricity costs, as some of my office clothes never get spoiled and I dont need to wash them thorugh the spin cycle.
blankets, door mats, all go in and come out clean.
I cant say about sevice centre experience, as I have never had to call IFB for the past machine and this one as well.
The additives/detergents they provide would also need to be tried out.
You can buy the machine online also. I got the senotor for 26k with a Rs. 500 cashback, so am currently satisfied with it and IFB on a whole.
