Poor Product & Horrible Service for IFB Dishwasher Neptune DX,

Buyers Beware

I wish to state IFB has the most pathetic after sales service and their Dishwasher Product seems to be of the worst quality.  On top of that their dealer in Malviya Nagar Delhi, Unique Enterprises that also has an IFB Point was least supportive in the issue and only made false promises, which they never delivered on.

There was deficiency of service on the part of Unique Enterprises and its Proprietor Mr. Rishi Khanna and IFB.

Here are the factual details: -

1. IFB Neptune DX Dishwasher purchased from Unique Enterprises Malviya Nagar on 18-Nov-13 for Rs. 35, 000/=. Machine was sent by the dealer without a manual, funnel for putting salt and without the strip to check for water hardness, which are all, supposed to be part of the packing. The packet with the inlet pipe was not sealed but was open. The funnel and strip were sent later after repeated follow-ups. Manual has still not been sent.

   
   




2. IFB technician installed machine only on 22-Nov-13 after repeated calls to the dealer. He tried to sell a water filter to attach to the machine for Rs. 1800/= which we refused, but he sold additional drainpipe for Rs. 250 although the drain is next to the machine. They supply a pipe that needs to go in a U Shape and cant even reach a drain next to the machine and force you to buy the extension pipe.

   
   




3. Since then machine has shown all possible faults.

   
   

a. Leakage from inlet pipe leading to an F5 Error causing machine to stop mid cycle with all lights flashing and IFB saying its faulty and needs replacement.

b. Leakage from within the machine leading to an F5 Error causing machine to stop mid cycle with all lights flashing

c. Leakage from drain pipe leading to an F5 Error causing machine to stop mid cycle with all lights flashing

d. Tray adjuster to adjust upper tray height not working and IFB saying it its faulty and needs replacement. Also the tray was not aligning properly so door of dishwasher not shutting.

The number of complaints that we have registered in the last 2 months(today being its 2 month anniversary!) is around 10. Some Ticket Numbers that I have record of given by IFB for the complaints are: -11874695, 11942605, 12117653, 12141649, 12221828. The rest I do not have a record of.

I must also state here that after every second complaint, someone from the dealer or IFB promised that this would be the last call and if problem is not rectified they would replace the machine as it seems to be a defective piece. Mr. Rishi Khanna from Unique Enterprises promised this first, then Mr. Amarendra the IFB Engineer, Then Mr. Prabhat the IFB Customer Service Incharge, Mr. Sunil from Unique Enterprises and finally Mr. Nimesh Bansal the IFB Senior Engineer.

Till date nothing has happened. Now they are saying we would take the machine and repair it our workshop and get it back. I have flatly refused. I have told them to either rectify at our residence or Replace the machine or pay our money back.

The experience with IFB has been traumatic to say the least. In case nothing happens, I will have to take this complaint to the consumer court and make the IFB MD Mr. Bijon Nag the opposite part for running an organization where no one takes responsibility and they feel they can sell a faulty product and just get away with it.
