Dear Sir,


Subject – Troubles faced with my IFB Dish Washer Model ZEPHYR EX


Ref – Purchase invoice no. - R/INV/2266 Dated – 21/01/2011 My Cust. Id - 2688123


This is with reference to my purchase of IFB Dishwasher about a less than a year ago and we are facing so many issues with product and finally for last 15 days the product has again malfunctioned and needs a repair for the fourth time in this short span period.


Rajkot has only one company trained person to handle repairs of all the products sold by IFB in entire Saurashtra Region so once product has some trouble we need to wait for atleast 4-5 days just to have someone visit our place and diagnose the problem and then no part of our product was available with the service centre so normally 7-9 days just passes in ordering the part from company and after receiving the part again the service centre personnel does not have time put that part inside the product so it again takes 3-4 days to simply visit and fix the product. So in all it takes about more than 15 days to fix a problem that could be solved in just 2 hours in case the service centre is duly equipped with parts and adequate staff. We do not have problem with any particular person in staff of service centre but the company policy itself is defective that increases turnaround time.


It seems the product quality is seriously poor, a brand new product from IFB for no reason starts malfunctioning or stops working every now and then which can’t be tolerated. We had to change PCB of the product twice in the above mentioned period, If we are the only customer facing the issue with the product then we can conclude that it connotes our particular piece is defective and we are entitled for a replacement of the product and in case every customer faces similar issues then it is time for senior management to look into matter seriously.


We further would like to draw your attention that we feel the product isn't tropicalized as per Indian Standard and hence it not able to adapt to power as well as atmospheric conditions of the country. Instead of putting such feedback on websites like mouthshut.com and consumer complaints such other feedback websites I choose to share it with you and I request you to take this feedback positively in company’s own interest and take steps including improvement quality of service and product and in my case consider replacement of the defective product.
