I was having IFB washing machine. Which I was using from last more than 4 years. It’s making too much noise from first day, I have raised this with customer care number of time and technical comes every time and mentioned its normal things nothing to worry.
I thought this may be true and we just ignore the noise issue after that. As soon as warranty period expired and when time came for service, I have raised service request for the machine. Technician came and he mentioned to resolved noise issue and other problems(like 1 hour+ washing cycle) you require to change number of parts of machine. i.e tub, water heater etc.
He give me quotation of 5k+ for all these part changes. I was agree with this and requested to change all require parts. After changing all these parts machine is not making any more loud noise and running fine. I am really surprise loud noise issue which I was facing from first day it’s suddenly resolved as soon as warranty period over. I was really happy and even give positive feedback to technician. I thought at last all these issues resolved.
This is just not the end of story. When technician came for service we have also mentioned about the washing cycle of more than 1 hour is not working. He mentioned this get resolved with the parts he is changing. But this wasn’t. We are not using this washing cycle frequently but when we used it we came to know this issue is still not resolved. So I have called engineer and discuss about this issue. He told me he will come and checked. He did not come and send someone else.
Now this new technician told me, there is an issue in PCB. This will cost 4k+. I was really surprise and request him why this is not mentioned earlier. If I am spending 10k for 4+ years old machine better I will buy new one. But you are now mentioning this.
His behavior also not really good, he was saying you must have to pay 4k+ to resolve this issue we cannot do anything. I had long discussion with him and at last I have decided to talk with his manager. Technician responded you are just wasting your time even if you call manager there will be no solution of this, you must have to pay 4k. I was really surprise of this. Next will be more interesting and worrying. He told me we will not take any service request from you in future and not even response on any issues of your product.
So everyone please be careful and make sure whatever issues you are having for your IFB product, make sure it’s resolved during warranty period. As soon as warranty expired they will start charging and problem which are not an issue during warranty period will become an issue and they will start charging high for this.
