I cannot believe how poor the quality of the product has come down to. We purchased a top loading washing machine, the AW-6563, in early 2011. The warranty came for 2 years.
As soon as the 2 years was over, the problems have begun. First the reverter failed which cost Rs. 1300 to repair.
The very next month, the same reverter (not even a month old) again failed and there is no warranty on this! We had to pay another 1300 for the reverter and the technician asked us to spend 1200 on an over-voltage cut-off. We did that.
The very next month, the main PCB on the front panel is gone. We cannot believe how poor the product quality is. Changing the PCB is 2000. And for each visit, the charges are 350.
We have no complaint on the service centre or the timely attendance of the personnel. But the way in which one component after another is failing is simply ridiculous.
Our older washing machine came for 10 years without even one complaint. We just cannot believe how pathetic the crap made by a company like IFB is.
Rest assured, the brand IFB will not be touched by any member of my family for a long long time.
Charging per visit is one thing. A new component failing in one month is another thing.
And continuous problems after the warranty is over is the worst thing. Good riddance IFB. Good luck.
