I purchased and IFB 30 SC2 Microwave Oven from Reliance Digital in 2008. On 31st May 2011, I lodged a complaint with customer care for the microwave not functioning.
It took over a week and over 20 phone calls to customer care and the franchisee of IFB service center to rectify the problem. The franchise charged me nearly 3000 rupees for replacing the diode and transformer. The microwave stopped functioning within a day of repair again.
I don't recommend anybody to purchase a IFB product ever again. The company uses franchisees for running its after sales service which are staffed by unprofessional elements with little or no training. I have other appliances from LG and the difference in standards of service is really stark.
My appliance is still not functioning and I feel cheated having spent 3000 rupees on its repair and trusting the brand name of IFB.
