Few days back I got a call from this bank for cash loan on my car. Her name is Sana. She said that the bank was providing a loan with 7.5 percent flat interest rate. I needed some fund for my business, hence I showed interest in the offer. I gave her all the details that she asked. Finally I got a call from another lady(Chanchal Thakur) and she informed me that the bank has approved a loan of 1170000. I said I would take it all. She sent a guy to me to collect 4 cheques and the original RC of my car. I made a great mistake by providing the original RC to this guy. She said that the RC would be returned in 3 days.
However, it was not returned to me even after 10 days. I started calling them to return my RC after 3 days. Initially they were saying that they would returned it in the next day, but they did not. 2 days later, Sana stopped taking my call and later blocked me. In the mean time I got some automated messages from the bank. I got also a credit of 1 rupee.
Today, I got a credit of approximately 8 lakh 34 thousand. I was shocked and called like 50 times to Chanchal, but she did not pick my phone. Then I started calling IDFC First Bank Customer Care. It was the worst customer service till now I got from any service provider. They said to me go to an office in Capital Court Munirka which handle loan departments to resolve the issue. When I went there, there was no office. Finally I got a vague address for its Rajendra Place branch. Luckily, I found this office. There after arguing with the guards, as I reached after 4 pm(no customer service after 4 pm), I managed to reach the 5th floor, where the loan department was located. But, I was not allowed to enter despite showing all the messages that I got from the bank. However, one person helped me get the name of manager who disbursed the loan to my account as in one message the loan account number was mentioned. Finally, the guy came(Subhajeet) came and explained me everything(outside the office) except the commission and the interest rate that I asked. He was making excuse and said to me that he would email everything. Till now I did not get any single email from the bank regarding this loan.
They had closed my car loan(The last EMI payment date was 7th Feb 2020) and another cash loan on car from HDFC Bank without asking me(as they had my original RC) on 6th Feb 2020. Tomorrow, I am going to HDFC loan Branch in Sarojini Nagar and asked about it.
I checked myself on the internet with the EMI amount and duration of 4 years that the interest rate was charged by the bank is 9 percent(approximately) instead of 7.5 percent. I do not think, whether they will return my RC.
Despite of all this I regret the most that how could I had given the original RC to the guy who was sent by the bank. Hence, I kindly request to all that never give the original document to any person no matter how convincing they are.
I hope after reading this review people would be careful while taking a loan from this fraud bank.
