I was hired by IDC last year. I was a Senior Product Manager when I left Deloitte after working there for 11 years. Deloitte is a major consulting and audit company and is one of the ‘Big 4’ audit firms of the world. I left Deloitte in 2014 and applied for a job at IDC. I cleared the interview and was hired as a manager, in 2015. IDC is a major staffing firm which specializes in IT, telecommunications and other areas. It has been more than an year for me now working at the IDC.
IDC has a clear cut approach towards its clients. It is a detail-oriented company which cares a lot about its employees. Every employee, no matter how senior he is, has to undergo through a training period at the commencement of his tenure, which is usually around four weeks. In the training, the new hires are given a detailed orientation about the company and the nature of work they would be doing.
Also, there is an appraisal for every employee at the end of a financial year in which the permanent employees are rated on the basis of their performance for the entire year. IDC has a very caring approach towards its employees. Not only it pays its employees exceptionally well, but also provides several additional benefits like travel expenses, insurances, etc. Most importantly, employees get to earn money on the basis of their capabilities.
There is no fixed pay and everyone is free to make whatever they are capable of. There is no any capping. This not only inspires employees to work in the best interest of the company but also increases healthy competition among themselves. I have signed a permanent contract with IDC. The pay is always on time which is almost at the end of every 2 weeks. The employees are always in touch with the senior employees for a suitable guidance. The newer hires are answerable to the managers. I, as a manager at IDC, also hire people to work for IDC. My colleagues and junior associates, who work under me, are quite dedicated and strive to do what is best for the firm.
A year passed by in no time and I have enjoyed every step of my journey working at the IDC. It is an excellent place to work at.
