I opened a Savings Account(A/c no1136104xxxx67829) on 25/09/14 in IDBI bank(Chakdah Branch). I also applied for Net Banking facility but did apply for debit card. Few months ago my Net Banking pin was disabled for unknown reason. As I don't have don't have debit card, I cannot generate online pin. So I had to apply for new pin(both login and transaction) manually to my home branch.
But I did not receive any response from them. I applied for the second time two months later. This time pin came to branch. Now when I log in to my account with my new pin, to my surprise I found that transaction facility(which was active in my account before) was withdrawn from my account. When I lodged a complaint regarding this matter to customer care.
I was advised to take a debit card. I strongly insisted on my choice of not using debit card. later they again asked me apply transaction pin to my home branch. When I informed them that I had already received the transaction pin and requested them to resume the transaction facility in my account, they did not response. They maintain a hidden policy of not providing full-fledged net banking facility to those who do not use debit card. If so, then why don't they announce it publicly?
