During recent crash of stock market, NAV’s of all ULIP plans have come down to lowest levels. If you are planning to take advantage of the situation by applying for a ULIP policy so that you will get more units, forget it.Issuance of policies for the applications received, during recent market blood shade are being purposely delayed by ICICI-Prudential even after clearance of cheques. Some young and healthy young clients are shown eligible for medical. I feel that purpose is to somehow delay the issuance till market recovers. I don’t know whether IRDA has put some limits on the period between Date of clearance of first premium cheque and date of issuance. If not it is very necessary.
