Pathetic customer service, Irresponsible. Review on ICICI Prudential Life Insurance

I had purchased an iprotect policy with ICICI prudential about 45 days back only because I liked the customtakeouter service that ICICI bank has.It has been the biggest mistake of my life. ICICI prudential is so callous that the less said the better. When purchasing the policy, I was promised that somebody would come down to collect my documents. This has not happened even now. I have called up their customtakeouter care executives 10 times in the last 45 days. I have emailed them thrice and yet they have done absolutely nothing to resolve this issue or give me my policy.I received a call from their escalation department promising me that within 3 working days somebody will come down to collect my documents which has also not happened.I am seriously disappointed with the way ICICI prudential has treated a customtakeouter and on top of that they constantly claim to be the most responsive insurance company. All lies.all that they are capable of doing is mentally harassing the customtakeouter.

Further update: Nothing happened even after the escalation department called. I found an email id(grievance@iciciprulife.com) where I again mailed my issues. Finally somebody replied and the 3rd party where ICICI pru had outsourced their document collection got in touch. I sent across my documents hoping that this would now get things moving. However, a few days later again I get a mail saying my documents have not been received. Totally pissed with the callousness of these people, I called up the collection agency and the lady from the grievance department to understand what went wrong. These people stopped answering to my phone calls and emails. SO, I did what I should have done way back: emailed the IRDA regarding the entire thing(complaints@irda.gov.in). Within 48 hours of my complaint, my policy was issued.

In conclusion: Dont buy an online policy form ICICI pru unless you are ready to battle it out completely. Other online term plans apparently are way better in listening to its customtakeouters.
