A few weeks ago I had written a about terminating a 20-year old relationship with ICICI Bank - and many of you came forth with your experiences with other banks, and quite a few pissed off with ICICI too. This post raise a flag for those of you who already have an account with ICICI or intend to. Read on, for your own sake, pay heed.
I have been pretty exposed to ICICI. I have a saving account, a couple of FDs, a credit card, an insurance policy with both ICICI prudential life insurance and icici Lombard . So I had to start my termination process by stopping all of them. And ever since I started this journey, they have put on a shocking unprofessional attitude. The so called relationship manager and his boss have stopped responding to mails, refuse to furnish information that I have asked for ( not available online) ! Even mails marked to other senior members have gone unattended. Which essentially means, they will show you that they no longer care about you, in spite of the fact that my money is still with them!
And this is a terrible state of service to be in. It's deficiency of service, of a high order, because as long as I am a customer I am entitled to a relationship manager and he has no business no responding to my queries or not helping me! Customer service is an obligation they carry, but don't care!
I'm now making this public because no brand or company that takes customers for fools should go unexposed! So, if you have a relationship with them, ensure you exit, I whenever you do that, without letting them know. If you intend getting into one, don't be stupid! Find a better evil!
