Why dont private insurance companies rename themselves as begging institutions. Almost all insurance companies are forcefully selling their life insurances via banks. These insurances have so high charges that its like, it is insurance for the companies to earn money not the customers.
Insurance companies should simply beg for money, rather than taking money and returning some of it back after several years in the name of investment.
Now, talking about ICICI, I was forced to purchase policies worth several lakhs by bank. After 5 years of waiting and investing hefty amounts, all I got was my premium back with no return. Also, company forced me to buy another policy while surrendering my old policies(or they threatened not to process my request)
Try your best not to buy any policy from ICICI Prudential.
