They advertise claim settlement ratio is 99.8% .


Yes it's may be true.but it's not complete fact.


It's very bad experience for me.I baught two wheeler policy for my tvs Wego online from them as seeing their claim settlement ratio.But it was my mistake.If you remember the floods in 2019, my Wego was one of the victim of the flood.it was actually almost submerged in water.After that ithad to be repair.so I took it to mechanic to start, after trying to start he told me water entered in engine and need to open engine and it might cost around 10000-12000 depending on engine situation. it was not affordable to me.So I called customer care of icici Lombard to lodge the claim.well this part was smooth.I thought "Such a nice company"


Then the actual nightmare started.initially i received call from their dedicated claim manager and inquired about what happened and asked the for the estimate repair cost as there was no affiliated workshop nearby my area.So I sent the estimate which was given by the mechanic and waited for approval.But instead of approval, manager called and said that they do not give approval for engine parts as engine is not covered in policy.I studied the all policy document and policy wordings but nowhere I found that.so I demanded complete approval and not partial approval for very small parts and wiring around Rs.2000-3000.


After much tussle they just approved around Rs.5000. It was very hard struggle and I also visited their office in Vashi but no use.My Wego was stranded in garage for more than two months.And it was very bitter experience from ICICI Lombard.And after that I never bought Icici Lombard policy.And there were two more bike policies was with them but at renewal I changed company.


Though it was genuine claim and first claim in my life it was very very bitter experience Iurge you not buy any policy from them for just seeing claim settlement ratio.As in my case claim was settled but at less than 50 percent amount and wasted two months for struggle.
