I got calls from icici lombard for health insurance. I do not remember agreeing to this - but the money has been deducted from my account for "insurance of health policy" i have called up the customer care on 3/12/2008 and cancelled the insurance policy. I was told the money would be credited back to my account in 11 working days.
To my surprise, a further same amount has been deducted from my account today towards the same "insurance of health policy" i have complained to the bank manager of icici.
i. How has this amount been debited twice without my written consent
ii. Why is my money not safe in ICICI bank - just because their sister concerns are in on the act?
iii. Even after I called up and cancelled I got a call from their agent saying 50% amount will be held as cancellation charges. this was never told to me earlier.
