Two interactions with the company left me with very bad taste and a 180 degree reversal in my perception about the company and it's support: 1. Motor vehicle: First they lost my cheque, I made them write to me to request my bank for STOP PAYMENT. I have been following with them for 6 weeks now for: a) reimbursement of the stop payment charges charged to me by the bank b) correcting the model of my car in the policy (their mistake). With 10 emails and 3 calls, I am yet to get an action. 2. Travel: Shubh Yatra insurance - for the tickets booked on indiatimes auction. I had won almost 2 dozen tickets on the indiatimes auction for Air travel in 1st week of March 06. I also opted for the Rs.99, Air travel insurance for each of the tickets which later I came to know were being issued by ICICI Lombard. AFTER 10+ emails, ONLY Half of the insurance policies were received (they sent on email) AND ONLY after the travel was over. I wrote to them why it was not received prior to flight, there is no response, except they sent a few more policies. There would have been ANY PROOF/Record with the passanger if a claim arose! No response/action yet: I have asked for Refund and cc-ed to Omdusbank for insurance -YET no response from Customer ''support'' except the usual automated email response with a complaint no., new one every time, as the old ones never get responded. I guess I made a big mistake moving my loyalty of 10 years from GIC (Government) insurance to a privae company. I wonder what would be the response if there was an actual claim made!
Update as of 1 Nov 06: Very interestingly, the company woke up, they resolved both the issues! Wonder was there a change in top management? Upgrading the stars
