They are lying, untrustworthy jackals. My mom suffered a heart attack in USA and had their health insurance coverage. To make the long story short, they paid only about 20% of the claims. They told the hospital that the patient should pay the rest.
My mom had $250,000 insurance, with no sub-limits (atleast when she signed the documents) nor was she provided with any information on these. Now, they say we have sub-limits!!
My question is then why sell $250,000 insurance????? With their ridiculous sub-limits the amount will never be that much, even when the patient suffers multiple hospitalization and baggage losses!!!
They ask for ridiculous papers and reports. They prematurely close the case and take advantage of India's lengthy court dealings and extort money out of unfortunate customers. If one underwent a dental procedure in the USA, they will ask for dental reports in India. Now, how many people in India have dental reports ? Just pray, you don't get any toothache while in USA on ICICI coverage!!!!
ICICI Lombard rewards their sales people with free trips to Singapore and Polynesia, but they loot unwary people and these people are not only traumatized by illness but also the harrasment caused by U.S. hospitals and collector agencies who want the bills paid.
DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT BUY THEIR TRAVEL INSURANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
