I have taken loan of 10 lakhs from ICICI in year 2003 at the floating rate of 7.25%. Now it has gone up to 10.25%.
My collegue who has taken loan at the sametime from HDFC at the floating rate of 7.5% is now paying interest only at the rate of 9.5%. When I speak to ICICI they will try to confuse and will never give a concrete reply. Customer service is also very poor and advised me to go to the nearest bank and resolve. But even they say that if you were a new customer the rate of interest would be 9.5%. I sincerely advice never believe ICICI home loan service and never get into the trap. bank is very prompt in deducting EMI. That is the only plus point which I can say. They have offered insurance for the loan amount at the time of approving the loan. Now they deny that also. I am not in a position to foreclose the loan beacause they are prompt in asking service chaarge. Never ever believe any body who comes with an offer from ICICI home loan services.
