I had taken Tata finance credit cards tied up with amex bank later taken over by ICICI Bank thru credit card no. 377040110154334 later in the year between 2005 and 2006 I have settled the card account to the agent between amount 11000/- to 11500/- after that there were no calls no mails letters statements etc., all of a sudden the icici bank officials have raised from the death and they contacted me in the year 2008 march , I had told them that I have cleared the dues and closed my account in the year 2005-06 only , why r u calling u and then they said sorry sir and kept the phone. later to my shock and surprise they put on lien on my savings account no. 029601510347 for an amount of Rs. 16536.05/-
I have contacted the bank officials and credit card recovery officials they said that we dont know anything u have to pay the amount. why should I pay the amount for which I am not liable at all. One thing is that I have not kept the settlement receipt which the agent has given, after six months or so I have destroyed it thinking that the matter is settled. But he bank is real big cheaters and the employers/dsa are also cheat the customers.
