Dear Sir/Madam,


This is to bring to your kind notice that I hold an account number 002901050871 and to my surprise I received a SMS on my mobile at 14:22:39 from ICICI that my cheque number 701914 has bounced due to insufficient funds on receiving this message.


I contacted the ICICI help line number 91-11-51718000 and had a word with the customer care officer who informed me that the cheque was presented at the branch at 8:00 am today where as when the money was deposited in my account at 09:20 am


The officer informed that there was no cheque presented to this account today (We talk of online banking with ICICI Bank) not being satisfied with the answer from the customer care officer.


I requested him to make me speak to his senior and then on my request he transferred the call to service manager MR. Shelve (Extn Number 4583) who in turn told me that since that the cheque has bounced there will be charges of Rs.220/- on my request he told me that he will get the cheque presented again but I will have to bear the cheque bounce charges.


I received a call on my mobile from Mr. Shelve at 15:17:37 from 914055369825 confirming that the cheque will be honored.


I would only request that this act of harassing the customer is not at all appreciable from a corporate bank like ICICI and secondly when my cheque which was dishonored at 8:00 in the morning was waiting for cheque bounce charges to get cleared till 3:00pm.


I sincerely beleive that this mail from me will be taken seriously and a proper action will be taken.
