You have ever applied a home loan from bank. You may have and got the loan. We as people never think about the future consequences which can take your family happiness. That's what happened with my family.
My father took loan from ICICI bank in the year 2007, from then we started repaying monthly EMI of Rs 8819/-. From 10 years we are paying EMI. We opted for floating option. Two months back I went to back to check for the outstanding amount that is required to clear the loan.
You know all these 10 years we payed only interest. Principle is always there. My father was looking for a loan from other bank, and before taking the new loan, he wanted to get few documents from ICICI BANK. We went to bank for details.
The manager said he can give step up loan on the existing home loan and convinced us, why visit other banks for loan?. We said ok. We have started the process.
First he told to clear at least Rs 1, 50, 000/- from the principle amount. So that he can sanction a loan amount of Rs 21, 00, 000 /-.
My father lend money from his friend with interest of 5 rs and payed Rs 1, 50, 000/-. to ICICI BANK.
Manager asked for my father salary slips and told to clear few debts which are in other banks.
My father again lend some money for the same interest from his friend and cleared Rs 1, 15, 000/- loan amount which is in other bank.
We thought everything is set and we are ready to get the loan.
After a week my father got a call from ICICI BANK saying that he had to clear last months emi for home loan. The charges has been levied on it since it crossed the paying date. Actually the bank executive told us that the last emi will be cleared from the amount of Rs 1, 50, 000/- which we payed. These people who work in icici never communicate properly.
There was no option we simply had to clear the emi with charges.
Its almost a month since we payed amount to ICICI BANK but no one called regarding loan. The bank person told us it will take hardly 15 days to sanction the step up home loan.
My father called the manager, He told to pay Rs 1300 for documentation. we payed it.(no receipt or nothing for it).
For continous probing and meetings with executives and managers. finally one person from the bank came to our house and checked the house and took signatures from my family to issue the loan. Its almost three months since we applied for the loan. My father is already paying the interest for the money which he lend from his friends.
After 15 days we got letter saying Rs 14, 00, 000/- has been sanctioned. My father got disappointing because the manager promised for loan of Rs 21, 00, 000/- now the number changed. My father talked with him on phone but no use. We thought its OK.
After a week manager called my father saying that my loan has been rejected. We are shocked. Why? The manager told that a cheque of Rs 16, 000 /- ( Charges for loan sanctioning) which has been produced for clearance in to my fathers bank account has been bounced.
We are not aware of these charges and no body informed us. My father asked manager about it. He says, he had informed about it before. Totally there was a mis communication and who got ruined? my family.
My family now facing the financial problem due to the un ethical process that has been carried out by the employees of icici bank.
They doesn't educate customer properly. The are behind their targets to reach and they simply say anything, all lies and effect people by playing with their needs. This has to be changed.
There is no proper document or paper that can clearly educate the complete process of bank in issuing loans. ICICI should follow proper guidelines where a customer will not get cheated or foul played by its employees.
