Bungle Bank !!. Review on ICICI Bank

I guess I need to mention two experiences I have had with ICICI bank over a period of time, and I leave for you to decide whether its really worth opening an account with ICICI.

I hold a salary account with Ms. ICICI Bank in chennai. The first experience was when I had to transfer an amount of 3000/- to my friend in Hyderabad, who too had an ICICI account. I was informed by the bank that if I paid cash in the counter, then immediately it will get credited in my friend's account.. So, I withdrew cash from my account and paid it.. assuming that he would be getting the money in his account in a hour or two, but it took 3 days, and me visiting the bank twice, only getting an answer that ''system is down.. just bear with us''.. this happened around 4 months ago.

Now, the second instance..my salary got credited this month on the 1st, I went to the ATM and tried to withdraw 10k, when it said ''system failure''..and when I tried again the next time, presto.. there is no balance.. 10k has been taken from my account...i know this is a normal problem with ATMs.. and the amount is reverted back within an hour.. or maximum at the end of the day...but ICICI bank telebanker has told me to wait for 3 days for that amount to return to my account.. and when I approach my branch manager, the same reply.. that I have to wait for 3 days for my money.. inspite of my company paying my salary..all this bcos of ''systems were down''.

Now, this being the case.. I really am not sure of ICICI Bank systems.... and I would certainly not recommend online transfers with ICICI, lest it should get delayed due to their always bungling systems..so, I would request all u ppl to tread carefully...
