My lots of disappointments force me to write this review.


I would like to highlight a case where I had approached ICICI bank for a trust(Jain Engineers Society, Navi Mumbai) account opening on 30th November, 2013 at ICICI Bank Sector-12, Vashi, Navi Mumbai branch.


I approached one of bank executives Devendra Sonkar, there he assured me account would be opened till next Monday EOD after verifying all the documents. When I approached to him on Monday, he was on leave and asked me to contact his senior Anirudra Bhave where he rudely told me that it would take another 4-5 days to open an account. I couldn’t expect this kind of behavior to a corporate customer like me for a trust account opening. I regretted my decision to approach ICICI bank instead of most competitive nationalized banks where they know the customer’s value.


Since I had already submitted all the documents and spent more than three days with ICICI bank so I requested them to speed up the process and they assured me till Wednesday EOD our account would be activated. The same thing I had updated to my organization because every day was important for us and we are approaching for a national convocation so bank account was very important to us. Based on this we were collecting all registration cheques and waiting for account activation to deposit these cheques.


Again Wednesday nothing had been done, new commitment was for Friday. Again it was proved as a wrong commitment. I had done regular follow ups with Devendra Sonkar and he assured me for the Saturday evening. Here people were religiously waiting for account opening because without this we couldn’t drive registration process.


I explained them the need and they assured me till Monday morning but when I approached Devendra on Monday 09 Dec., he said, still account was not activated and he required a cheque copy to clear zero balance clearance. I got shocked i.e. still he was playing with the so defined process and behaved worst than an unpopular bank.


I approached his senior Anirudra Bhave but again got shocked when he rudely said “It will take more 2-3 days because he got entry in the system on Saturday 7th December.” This was more disappointing because I had submitted documents on 30th November and bank was not able to open our trust account till Wednesday 11 Dec. i.e. bank spent 10 days already.


They made account opening process so tedious and disappointing, It also spoiled my reputation to my trust members because I had updated them based on the false commitments by bank executives. People must get aware about bank’s disgusting processes and wrong deeds of executives(false commitments and not customer friendly).
