Guys pls take my advice "dont bank with ICICi", I am having a terrible time with these people, my salary account so called "TITANIUM ACCOUNT"was opened with them on 1st Oct2009, and today its 30th Oct 2009, I have yet not received my TITANIUM debit card, PIN no, internet user id and password no welcome kit.
All I am given is temporary debit card to withdraw cash that too now is blocked, the nearest branch where my account is has now stopped taking my calls..was 2 chq books, okay now listen to this I issued a cheque to my another account from my ICICI bank, the chq had some alteration which I signed..
As I was fearing the got returned because of alteration..imagine no one called me either at the time it was happening usually bank calls the customer to verify.the amount was INR 54000, i wont say a very big amount but reasonable enough for a customer to get a call for any issues.
I visited the bank and told them to represnt the cheque and assured them that pls clear it..they agreed at the branch again the chq got represented and returned again..with same reason..after that I told them to do an NEFT from the branch which they refused saying we cannot do it..thankfuulu my wife is also banker with HSBC se told me it is just not possible that bank will refuse later when I told them the branch manager told me that he will check with his subordinates..strange a BM does not know weather or not he can do NEFT..any how the transfer was requested and it too 3 days for an NEFT......am still waiting for my debit card and welcome kit and internet bank password..any one has anything to say???
