I have been harassed by ICICI bank over the course of last four months. And it was for an issue that their system caused in my Forex outward remittance transactions. Cutting the long story short - they refused to take any responsibility for the mistake they did in few Forex outward remittances I did from my ICICI HNI savings account - they overcharged me for the service!
After over 20 calls to their customer service department, staying on the phone for over an hour for most of the times, and countless email exchanges, they finally credited back the wrongfully deducted charges.
So, I ask you all, who is responsible for the interest I incurred on the amount in question, the thousands I spent on the phone calls, and all the productive hours I lost chasing their agents. Can they compensate for all the mental agony they caused to me?
Do you want to go through such treatment and months of mental agony from a bank to whom you pay for availing their services? Decide for your self!
