Home loan dream turned into nightmares

Shailendra Porwal, Krishn Murari Mishra and I(Sanjay Chaniya), had applied for home loan for units in Ajnara LeGarden, G Noida. We all started home loan process in the month of March with ICICI agent: Veer Pal.(headed by Relationship Manager: Puja Chakraborty). It took approximately 2-3 months to get our loan disbursed from ICICI Bank, sector 50 Noida. During this period of 2-3 months, we passed through most unexpected and embarrassing experiences.


Like: -




  • VeerPal continously lying about loan disbursement dates.




  • VeerPal blaming us for incomplete documentation, we believed him we were new with the process.




  • Veerpal took 1000 rupees from each one of us for Notary and stamps.




  • Veerpal giving excuses for delay, like his wife is not well. Puja is on vacation.






-  Veerpal forcing each one of us, for taking ICICI credit cards, so that he can get some referal bonus from ICICI




  • Puja Chakraborty ignoring our phone calls.




  • Veerpal took 3 months for loan disbursement for Krishn Murari Mishra.




  • Veerpal lost some very sensitive loan documents like blank cheque provided by Krishn Murari for loan security. Krishn Murari provided him new cheques.






During this episode, we felt helpless, tired and frustated because Puja(Relationship manager) was neither responding to our calls, nor Veerpal was doing thing on time. Veerpal was glad to put all blame on Puja. Puja was not hearing us.


Finally, after 2 months of worst nightmare, Shailendra and I got the loan disbursement and this delay costs us delayed penalty from Builder party.


This sequence of bad events continued to worse, when we opted for Loan protection from ICICI. Here are few more insurance related events




  1. Shailendra's cheque for home loan security was misused and forged by ICICI Bank representatives, and was sent to ICICI Prudential after editing the subject.




This matter is already escalated and he is yet to get a reply from ICICI on this episode. Finally, he cancelled his policy.


2.  Few days back, I got ICICI prudential policy kit. I got shocked and scared when I saw my forged signature on Customer declaration form. I immediately called ICICI Prudential to cancel my policy, and escalated the matter to ICICI Prudential insurance. But again, no action and no reaction from ICICI folks.This escalation costs me another delayed penalty when my 2nd loan demand request got delayed. Today, it is already 2 days over my actual demand date. Even after providing all documents I am unable to see things working for me. This time it was Ankit Budhiraja(Branch manager, sector 50, Noida). This man, never takes the onus and responsibility of getting things done, and he keeps on blaming his juniors for not doing things on time.




  1. Finally Krishn Murari Mishra, has also decided to quit the insurance policy for loan protection.




All these sequences left us with few questions:


a. When we provide all necessary documents listed in home loan check-list, why our loan was delayed for 2 months. Is the check-list incomplete


b. If a relationships manager, and a bank manager, does not hears you, or always gives excuses or blames others for your loss. Who should we speak to.


c. If our supported home loan documents are misused for forgery, cheating or some illegal activities, who is responsible for taking accountability for misuse.


d. If a manager lacks in hearing skill, and keeps on showing lethargic mood for your needs. Why he is called a manager.


At the end, all we want to say is we have enough proofs and evidences, for our communication with ICICI but only thing we dont have, is a reply and action.


We would request you to hear our grievances, avoid our dreams turning into nightmare. We still hope for better, and would look forward to keep healthy relations with ICICI.
