Well, I have seen many reviews written about ICICI bank & its rampant cheating. The baseline for ICICI bank’s way of doing business & logging profits is just one:

*Conditions Apply.

*I won’t write a very long review, but refer to the photo of this bank's advertisement:

Seeing this, I fell in the trap & proceeded to book 2 tickets for a weekend show.

The 3 pointer Terms & Conditions dispalyed on front page seemed OK to me.

However, I wasn’t able to avail the offer since it required that I book 4 tickets at a time from which I would get only 1 ticket free.

My fault: I failed to note was the link to fine print:

“Click here to read all Terms & Conditions.”

Voila! That’s where most of the masala lies.

From the list of some 20 odd terms & conditions, this one is most interesting – one has to be awfully free to go through all this:

/*Offer varies depending on the card type:

Buy one get one free for ICICI Platinum, Signature and Titanium card holders (A user has to purchase a minimum of 2 tickets)

---Buy two get one free for ICICI Gold card holders (A user has to purchase a minimum of 3 tickets)

---Buy three get one free for ICICI Silver card holders (A user has to purchase a minimum of 4 tickets)*/

Further, here’s some more masala:

For Silver Card Users:

The user shall get a maximum of One Free Ticket in the same purchase transaction. The One Free Ticket shall be given out of 4 tickets purchased in the same purchase transaction. Thus, if the customer books 5 tickets, he can avail of only 1 free ticket then, and has to pay full price for the other 4 tickets. The offer is not available if only 3 cinema tickets are booked.

Most interesting is the last line:

Incase of any disputes, Bigtree's decision will be final.

I leave it to the reader to imagine the kind of dispute resolution the private companies like this one will resort to.
