ICICI bank has many derived names. I have been hearing one
like ''I Charge I Charge...''. But with their new charging schemes,
like the charges on the ATM's, I have no choice left then to my
derived name for this bank viz., ''I Close I Close Immediately'' (ICICI).
Truly, guys, the charges are heavy and is of no use continuing
your account here. As for the world class services they preached,
the good old days of this bank have gone. It has gathered large
number of customers through good services before which acted as
honey on the bee-hive. Poor customers, already fed up of the
rude and lazy attitude of public sector banks, jumped and opened
accounts to get tension free, air-conditioned services.
I even saw craze among the youth to open an account with this bank.
But, in reality, the days are gone. Now, you will get air-conditioned
atmosphere, but no customer satisfaction. You enter any of the busy
branches of this bank and you will find not a single staff member
asking you to sit down and listen to you. The atmosphere is striving
fast as of a public sector banks.
These guys at ICICI have now decided to earn a lot from their
customers. One can tolerate charges while withdrawing heavy amount,
one can tolerate DD charges, but heavy charges for the use of ATM's.
Even after so much charges, ICICI is not concentrating in customer
satisfaction much. You enter any of the branches and in some corner
you will see a notice hanging above ''May I help you''. But unfortunately,
the guy responsible to help, is missing below. You will mostly find
a vacant seat.
I'm sorry to say ICICI, I have to close my account. Your high
charges on every services may be lucrative for high-end customers
like businessmen etc., but an ordinary service class employee has to
turn back to our old, all time favorite, Public Sector Banks,
regardless of their rude and lazy staff. After all, Indians are
habitual to such behaviour.
