I became a customer of ICICI through its aquisition of Bank of Madura some 5 years back.
After that it grown tremendously adding up pros and cons.
The pros are,
Supports banking through almost all latest technologies (Internet, SMS, telephone...)
Having more ATMs (especially in South India)
The cons are,
No people-friendly branches - All branches have young executives who are not even aware of banking procedures - One executive said DD can be applied only through cheques even if you have an account in the same branch.
Lots and lots of procedures - If you get a token for DD, you will only get a DD, no additional info/help possible.
I would suggest ICICI who dont want to go the branches in person, stand in long queues. The customer care that comes with the internet baking is excellent, but phone banking support is not so good.
