One of the worst option for home loan. Review on ICICI Bank

I started my first home loan with ICICI bank in 2006.The rate of interest was quite affordable at that time, it was around 8.45% quite coparable with other competitors.I was told while disbursement that interest goes down too when there is any such announcement from Reserve bank of India.I was ok at that time and never bothered to explore it as I was quite excited for my new home and my focus was to make the payment to my builder as soon as possibile.After around 6 or 7 months I teceoved a letter from the bank that due to hike in repo rate we are increasing the rate of interest by 0.5% .I was shocked because .5 percent means a lot.I checked with other banks but none of them oncreased the rate of interest.The very first thought came into my mind is to switch the loan as soon as possibile but I because of may layback attitude I decided to wait for some more time but that biggest mistake of my life and they kept on increasimg the rate of interest and then after 2.5 years o decided to switch to SBI.I made a big loss as the when I switched the ROI was 13.75 percent and I switched to 8.45 percent in SBI.ICICI is good in reatail banking but home finance is a big NO.
