Hi,
I got an ICICI UK account on 14th October 2005. The startup kit had everything and across the counter I was told that it will take two days to activate the account. I was trying to access the account from 18th October onwards till now I am unable to access that.
I have spoken to the UK call center and reported the problem many times. Initially I was told to go for a new password which take atleast 10 working days to get delivered to my Indian address where no one was there at that moment. My arguement was that I havent used not logged in once usig the logon details given by the bank. There is no point in my account getting locked. Later I decided to reset my password and made my employer sent a request to update my UK address that was also not done by the Bank.
After many days of follow-up I fed up and gave a request for password reset for that I send them fax to an address to which it has to be delivered in India. More than 30 days has passed and till now I haven’t heard anything from them.
I am totally unhappy with the wonderful service provided by ICICI UK, and expect still more shows and stories to be heard before I am getting access to my account.
I made a grave mistake in opening an account with ICICI, and I blame myself for my laziness on walking in to far superior banks in UK who understands the customer and their problems very well compared to ICICI.
My personal appeal to all prospective customers to ICICI to stop using their service, and for future customers never ever open an account with ICICI. They have poor customer service and my mails to their UK Head operations is also not answered for more than 20 days.
More than two and half months have passed and still not able to access my account online.
