I have software development business and to sale products online we needed to have credit card acceptance facility (it means people can pay us from their credit cards all over the world). ICICI dose provide this facility it is named as paysil. After all trials and follow ups with ICICI I decided to leave it and go for some foreign payment collection agency. Below is the experience listed.


No Proper Website:


I went to visit ICICI's website, guess what, no where there is mention of paysil or credit card acceptance. I only saw how to apply for credit card. And after browsing so much of website, I finally got one link Online Payment etc, I went there and what got was their branch numbers.


Employees dont know about services offered:


Next I called up some concern branches and asked that ''I need to have credit card acceptance facility on my website so that people can pay me by credit card through our website''. Imagin what, people say you can come to our branch and apply for credit card by filling one simple form!! Guys dont understand what I mean. Was I not very clear of my words? After arguing 3-4 times they used to tell me ''Sir we dont know any of such facility is offered by ICICI, you may please contact at ....'' and a new number.


Chain of phone list I followed:


After 6 of such rounds I got to one person who said that ICICI offers this and it is known as paysil and you need to visit paysil website and contact them.


Finally Got The Service Details:


Finally I got to paysil, I searched website, imagin no costs, no list of facilities on website. Where else foreign agencies list everything (Initial setup cost, per month and per transaction cost etc). I did find one thing was their number. I called them and explained what I need, the guy said ok fine sir, you need to mail us following details, my company name, company was established when, where do I have my bank account, company's address etc etc. And he gave me one email address.


No Response From Them:


I emailed the details once in a week for continuously 3 weeks. I never got any reply. Nor any person from paysil contacted me. I didnt expect this at all.


Foreign Agency:


RegSoft, CCNow .. and many. I have good experiences with all above agencies. They activate account in 24 hours, their charges for setup are nil, you pay only for service and no setup charges. And everything is online, no hastle of calling anyone or following phone number list.


Paysil's Disadvantages:


1) 35,000 Rs installation where else Foreign agencies take maximum of 100$, many of them are free installation.


2) Need to have 20,000 deposit or something like that for software products.


3) Their website is down 2-3 hours a day, so imagin in such period no one can pay you.


Dont go for indian services, they are not worth, just search in google for services, you will find n number of them.


My Suggestion


RegSoft is best for software selling.


CCNow is best for consumer goods selling.


2checkout is best for services.
