Develop Patience to Bank with ICICI

I am holding a credit card from ICICI Bank. I decided to go with ICICI be'cos of their wide range of service which makes our life easy.


After receiving the card I applied for Internet banking activation, which was given on request only. To allot user id for Internet banking, we have a 2 choices where by either you can fill up the necessary application form and send it by post or register online, get a user id and download what is called ''PART B'' form and mail it to Mumbai address. After this, the account will be activated.


I applied for the above service in the month of November and I got my user id in the month of January. ICICI took more than 60 days to allot a user id. I had wrote ''n'' number of complaints thru mail and had a standard reply from ICICI saying, ''sorry for the inconvinence caused, we are working on your case in high priority and we need 2 to 3 more working days to respond''. This was a standard dialogue which I always had from ICICI mail.


If you call up ICICI customer service, you have to definitely allot about an hour, be'cos the customer service official does'nt bother to put you on hold for such a long time.


I have all the ICICI mails well intact for ready reference. I wrote a final mail to ICICI in the month of early January, warning them about their sluggish activity and informed the authority concerned that I have to take this issue to public notice. And to my surprise, the never ending story was put a full stop the very next day. I received my id in courier.


This was not the service which I expected from ICICI. Since I am also a customer of Citi Bank, I have seen a wonderful service from those people and not such a careless activity.


ICICI has to definitely improve in their customer service.
