Unjustified billing charges on ICICI Bank Credit card No. 4477468417317000.


I had been using ICICI Bank Credit card since 7 – 8 years and to the extent that the bank issued me their Platinum card(4629864027501008) facility without asking for it. So it is obvious that I was never a defaulter.


In the month of July, 09 ICICI bank debited late payment fees and other charges, I protested as I pay in time as a matter of practice but their customer care did not listen at all though I gave 2-3 try for the same. They feel each and everything is perfect at their end, even if something goes wrong at their end there is no option left to the customer to prove it. Thus they are always right.


I stopped using their card immediately after making all payments against each & every transactions and sent one complaint letter(dt. 11.09.09) too along with last payment. Bank continued to add their unjustified charges and never bothered what I say and build-up the amount of Rs.4007.73(this does not include any payment balance towards any transaction made by me through ICICI Bank credit card). Now the bank issued me a letter(ref No. 0062615011103, dt. 14.01.11, posted on 17.01.11 and received on 22.01.11) referring to many rules that gives them authority to debit this amount in my S B A/c with them. Right on 24.01.11(23.01.11 being Sunday) I sent my protest letter but as usual not listening to the customer they have debit Rs.4007.73 in my SB A/c No. 002001037821.


Is it really justified to do all this on single side organizational rules.


Considering poor customer services I not only stopped using their credit card but snapped / reduced my other activities too with reference to banking, deposits, ICICI Prudential Insurance policy of my wife and other mutual fund activities. Bank just to prove themselves as right that - they do not care the customer rather more interested to recover unjustified billing charges.


Whatever I have mentioned above is very much evident from my 8 – 10 year old history with ICICI group.


I seek justice in this regard(ICICI bank shall reverse the aforesaid debited amount) and request all others to be careful while dealing with ICICI group as whole. If one collect public opinion about ICICI group it would not take any time to establish the fact I have expressed in this grievance letter.
